Let’s put things in perspective for you. Award-winning is an understatement, and while we are writing this blog, our friends at Diner’s Drive-In’s & Dive’s are back at Garbo’s Grill for a second time. According to Garbo’s Grill, the Food Network stopped by to follow up with them and see how things are going since their last visit. Be sure to tune in to Diner’s, Drive-In’s and Dive’s on Friday, July 9th at 9:00 pm ET.
W1891DSkimm from Inwood, West Virginia, had this to say about Garbo’s Grill:
“Amazing! This place was phenomenal….the location, the food and the atmosphere were perfect. Order your food here and grab drinks at Hank’s hair of the dog-you’re set. I had the yum yum shrimp burrito, my husband had the umami burger and we shared the bulgogi tacos. It was all so good! Can’t wait to get back there next year.”
Garbo’s is also nominated for Best Food Truck, Best Taco, and Hanks is nominated for the best bar. If you want to know where the locals go - this is the place!

B. O.’s Fish Wagon
The best fried grouper sandwich in the Keys.
Located steps from our resort is B.O’s Fish Wagon. There’s nothing fancy and everything quirky, funky, and fabulous in this Key West food truck/shack. What you’ll find here is the best Grouper sandwich on the island, along with other favorites on the menu, including fish tacos and any shrimp dish they are serving up.

“Great Fried Grouper. This place is essentially a food truck surrounded by a shack. It’s easy to miss, but don’t! The food is excellent!
I enjoyed the fried grouper dinner with slaw and rice and beans, as well as a couple happy hour beers. The grouper was light and delicious! The beans were also particularly good—I’m not sure what they added to give them such a unique flavor. The service was also excellent.
This is quintessential Key West. I highly recommend a visit! ~ FDinger via TripAdvisor
We agree with FDinger’s review and recommendation - this is quintessential Key West. Give B.O.’s Fish Wagon a try and let us know what you think.

I’ll see you at the Gas Station.
Did you know some of the best food and food trucks are located at the Gas Station? Here are a couple of our food truck favorites we found while filling up the gas tank around town. Let’s take a look inside One Love and Pescado Food Trucks.
One Love Food Truck
Nominated for BEST FOOD TRUCK in the People’s Choice 2021 Bubba Awards.
One Love Food Truck offers a taste of the islands! You’ll find authentic Jamaican & Caribbean eats along with health-conscious gourmet offerings, including the award-winning hot tuna tacos, jerk chicken, gluten-free conch fritters, house-made fresh ginger iced tea, and more! You won’t be disappointed by anything on the menu because it’s made with love by 5-Star Celebrity Chef Clive Thompson.
Thatguy305 on TripAdvisor had this to say about One Love Food Truck:
“Food Truck worth the stop! The food here has always been excellent for me. The jerk wings are my go to. However, today I had the jerk chicken sammich and lemme tell ya, maybe my new favorite sammich in key west. Staff is always pleasant and there’s even tables for dining there. Do yourself a favor and stop here and get real quality Jamaican food. The presentations are also on point, taste as good as it looks.”
Don’t miss One Love Food Truck’s Reggae Sundays, happening the first Sunday of every month.
One Love Food Truck is tucked away next to the Chevron (on Stock Island), where the food and island vibe will transport you to Jamaica.

Pescado
Another favorite food truck found at the gas station is located at Truman Ave., at the Truman & White Chevron in Key West. Welcome to Pescado, serving American and Mexican-style seafood grub, including fish tacos & fried shrimp.
Great lil taco spot for a quick on-the-go bite. ~ Michael Silvia, Facebook Review
This is what Mrtarheel of Chapel Hill, NC had to say about Pescado:
“Best fish sandwich on the island. I also usually get their black beans and rice instead of french fries. My wife loves their fish tacos. We get it all grilled. We eat lunch there at least once or twice a week during the three months we are in Key West.”
A common thread amongst all visitors to Pescado is delicious food, affordable prices, and one of my favorite food trucks.
