Ensconce yourself within the ocean-inspired design of our rooms while looking out over the harbor and pools from your private balcony.
We had the opportunity to catch up with Sean Van den Broeck, General Manager of The Marker Key West Harbor Resort, to find out what’s new and talk about the rebranding, renovations and reveal the new suites and experiences happening at the resort.
New Name!
Welcome to The Maker Key West Harbor Resort!
Why the name change? When you think Harbor Resort, you think about the boats, the ships, and the fishermen and this historical branch that reaches out to Old School Key West. That was so important to have Harbor Resort included as it ties into our location, what we offer, and what kind of experience you’re going to get.

The Renovations | A look inside
We started renovations of the property with the front desk and lobby area. We completely changed the furniture, the artwork, and the setup, and there are new carpets and paint throughout the hotel. We welcome you to paradise with a colorful Key West vibe!
First Look at The Lobby
“The renovation was more about an evolution. We wanted to add to the guest experience.”
The Rooms and Suites
The new suites, located at The Harbor House by the Serenity Pool, are an extension of that Key West experience.
We have a total of six suites with spacious, beautiful rooms, bathrooms, and balconies.
Four luxury suites are located in the Harbor House and we also have two suites that can be combined to two-bedroom connecting suites in the hotel. And then we have the Junior Suite, which is the captain’s quarters, which has the biggest balcony that looks over the Key West harbor.

The Hemingway Desks
These beautiful old school Hemingway desks, they’re writers desks and so unique - an antique Key West desk chair! Whether you're reading a book in the armchair, lazing about on the couch, or you're sitting doing your work at these desks, you're feeling pulled into the Key West vibe.
The Fitness Center
Our fitness center also received an update, and it’s filled with state-of-the-art equipment, including Hydrow machines and Peloton bikes, weights, treadmills, and ellipticals. It’s a significant update, and we think it's the best place to melt away stress, pump up your energy, clear your mind; revive your body.
The Restaurant | Starboard
There’s a rebrand on the poolside restaurant and bar, let’s talk about Starboard.
What’s the story behind the name?
You’ve heard the saying ‘you’re on the right side of town,” it’s a whole play on words with the harbor, nautical theme and being on the better side of town, the right side of town ...that’s Starboard!
Let’s talk about the food.
Indulge your senses with hand-crafted cocktails and locally-sourced ingredients at our Key West bar and restaurant Starboard. The menu offers healthier options with a Key West flair and a carefree eating experience. We have a fantastic wine program, and our homemade pizzas are the talk of the town. Seriously, even the locals want to hang out in our backyard, and you’ll see
them drinking and eating poolside at Starboard.
Starboard offers hearty and healthy breakfasts, light bites, fresh seafood, and signature pizzas.
The location
Location. Location. Location.
A balcony view from our resort shows you just how close we are to the Historic Seaport and your next island adventure. Everything Key West has to offer is steps from our hotel. The best water adventures, boats, schooners, and yachts are in our backyard!
If you’re looking to break away from reality, there’s no better place to do it than our little oasis here in Key West. ~ Sean
The Marker Key West Harbor Resort features 96 vibrant rooms and suites, three stunning pools, and two restaurants and bars for a secluded island escape tucked away in Old Town Key West. As Sean said, there’s no better place to break away from reality than our sanctuary and island resort at the harbor.
