Explore the Island

Sleep in late and then head out and explore the island where you’ll experience the art, history and charm of our beautiful island. Go for a bike ride or take a stroll and visit our shops, eclectic restaurants, and outdoor cafes. If you are looking for a late breakfast/brunch, our recommendation is to go to Blue Heaven - it’s one of those places you’ll end up falling in love with and might even want to go back and visit during your stay.

After your morning stroll, head back to the resort. Chill out poolside, grab a drink, enjoy live music and get into the Key West vibe. Remember, you’re on island time! Take time to relax, rewind and reconnect.

Paint Together

A date night idea and super fun thing to do together is to join a Paint & Sip class. While we share a special Valentine’s Edition of Paint in Sip for this blog, please note Lance Berry also has future classes at our resort and is the go-to-source for paint and sip classes in paradise.

Join Key West artist Lance Berry for a special Valentine’s Edition of Paint & Sip at The Marker Harborside Resort.

Be on cloud nine with your valentine! Enjoy a night of painting under the stars and sipping on your favorite drink with your special someone. No date? No worries! Single participants are welcome to join in on the fun!

Couples will be using two canvases that can be joined together to make one complete painting. If you're celebrating on your own, simply turn the canvas horizontally and create your own masterpiece!

Meet Key West Artist Lance Berry

I create art that encapsulates the feeling of a tropical moment, like how you feel after a summer breeze or a rain shower — refreshed and smiling with an overall sense of joy. My mission when creating is to make my viewers smile just by simply viewing. I do this through a technique/style I developed, which I call ‘unbridled art.’ It is an impressionistic way of painting — quick and expressive using my medium of choice, acrylics and modeling paste, to capture the essence and deep feeling of my surroundings or my subjects.

Many ask, ‘how do you know when the painting is finished?” and I always respond the same, “When it makes me smile.
