Our Key West Harbor Resort is ready to welcome all guests to paradise, and just so you are aware, our four-legged friends may get some extra love from our team. We are just as excited to see your pup as they are to see us! Upon arrival at the hotel, our furry guests will receive a customized welcome bag loaded with goodies, toys, treats, and a Marker Key West pet tag.
While no jumping on the bed is encouraged by our guests, we think it’s time to pamper our pets and provide them with the perfect place to sleep and a pawsome vacation experience. After a long nap, we encourage the whole family to head out and explore the island and take some time to paws and reflect.
Did you know one of the most scenic walks in Key West just happens to take place right outside our resort? It’s true, the harborwalk along the Key West Historic Seaport, also known as the Key West Bight, offers marina views with schooners, yachts, and boats, waterfront restaurants and bars, and the path to your island adventures.

Lazy Dog Adventures
Kayaking and Paddleboarding Rentals, Tours & More
Open Every Day 9 am to 5 pm.
Lazy Dog Adventures is the most pet-friendly excursion you’ll find on the island. Hence, the name Lazy Dog! The owner Sue Cooper built Lazy Dog with our best bud in mind. When she moved to Key West, her goal was to work outside, work with friends, and make sure her dog could join her as well. That’s the short take on a great story but one that is important to share with you, especially while planning your pet-friendly vacation to Key West.
Lazy Dog Adventures is the place to explore, be entertained, and experience the best island excursion with your pet. See incredible local marine life like jellyfish, tropical fish, and starfish and take in the area’s beautiful scenery.

Go to the Beach
Key West Dog Beach
As our friend @bloothefrenchie says on Instagram, “When you find a dog beach before a human beach in the Keys, life is good.”
While Dog Beach is small, it is a cool place for you and your dog(s) to play in the sun, sand, and water, and you can’t beat its location - next to Louie’s Backyard at Vernon and Waddell Streets.
Go to the Park
Higgs Beach Dog Park
Located across from Higgs Beach (and Salute! On the Beach is steps away) is where you’ll find a place dedicated to our furry friends and animal lovers. Higgs Beach Dog Park hosts a large and actively utilized dog park with separate runs for small and large dogs. In this park, your pet is allowed to run and play off-leash at this fenced Key West dog park with grassy open spaces, shade, and benches for the rest of the family.
